Stained Glass Classes
 Glass
FX Studio operates on an “open studio” concept. Stained
glass classes are given on an individual basis, with no set start
time. Students arrange when they wish to begin and formal instruction
takes one day. After that, students may come into the studio, when
their schedule permits, to complete their project. Assistance is
provided as required. Your first project should be 150 pieces or
more. The cost is $300.00 + GST for instruction, pattern set up,
tool & equipment rental. Glass, foil & solder are extra.
You will leave this class with a professional panel & the
knowledge & confidence to complete any stained glass project
no matter how challenging. Students are given 60 hours to complete
their first project. Students who wish to do additional projects
in the studio are charged studio time, at the rate of $2.50/hour
or $10.00/day, for space and tool rental. Torch rental for bead
making is also available.

Beginner Lampwork Bead Making Class (Instructed by Leslie Hirsch
)
Date: Aug 21st
Time: 10:00am to 4:00 pm
Cost: $195.00 + GST (includes all materials)
Limit: 4 students
This one day class gives you both the information and basic skills
necessary to start making beads on your own. There is an emphasis
on safety and knowing your equipment and materials. You will learn
about the different types of glass, the importance of annealing
your beads, how to pull stringer and simple decorative cane, make
basic shapes, and use decorative elements and tools. You will make
simple but beautiful beads using dots, frits, stringer and encasing.
The class size is 4 people.
Setting up a home studio will be discussed, and individual attention
is available to assist you in making choices that work for your
particular situation. Rental Torch time at the Studio will also
be available.
Cost of class includes all materials and use of safety glasses,
tools and equipment.

Fused Sushi Plates
Date: Sept 16th

In this 1 day class you will learn the basics in
fusing & create a pair of sushi plates .
Due to the fact that your plates will be fired twice you will
have to pick up your plate the following week
Fused Wind Chimes
Date: Sept 30th & Oct 1st
Time:
10:00am to 4:00pm
Cost: $95.00 + GST all materials & firing included
Limit: 4 Students
In this two day class you will create a beautiful Wind Chime.
There will be three patterns to choose from (Fish, Sunflower or
Sun)
Fused Halloween Fan Lamp
Date: Oct 7th
Time:
10:00am to 4:00pm
Cost: $125.00 + GST all materials & firing included.
Limit: 6 Students
In this one day class you will create a Pumpkin Fan Lamp.
Fused Christmas Cookies
Date: Nov. 4th
Time:
10:00am to 4:00pm
Cost: $125.00 + GST all materials & firing included
Limit: 4 students
In this one day class you will make & bake Ginger Bread men,
Xmas trees, Sugar Cookies, Santa Cookies & Xmas Stockings.
Poinsettia Plate
Date: Nov 18th
Cost: $95.00 + GST all materials & firing included.
Decorate your Holiday table with a beautiful Poinsettia Plate.
This is a 1 day class but because your plate will be fired twice
you will pick up your plate the following week.
Fused Snowman Fan Lamp
Date: Nov 25th 10:00 to 4:00
Cost: $125.00
+ GST includes all materials
Limit: 6 Students
In this one day
class you will make a beautiful Fused Snowman Fan Lamp
for the holiday season.
